The much overlooked: Catnip tea

This tea is probably the best tea, yet the most overlooked on the planet!
Bearing in mind it was the favoured tea in Europe before Chinese tea i.e. green tea and then later on (the fermented green tea that had gone rotten in the ships holds when held up in storms) black tea, which the West soon got addicted to.
Catnip tea is a superior tea because it has no caffeine and has an exquisite taste and many health giving benefits. Catnip has been known to prevent a cold and/or flu coming on if taken when the first symptoms arrive ie a sore throat.
I was reminded last night to take the tea when a plant growing in our garden was accidentally broken after a storm.
So I placed some in a teapot and rediscovered this exquisite tasting tea and more importantly, had the best night’s sleep I have had in memory!
I normally wake up and read myself back to sleep at least four times a night but that night only woke up once and went straight back to sleep.
The tea is safe and ideal for children and especially for those overactive children and has so many benefits it would be best to refer to page number 15 in my Happy High Herb book.
But here are some of the more important medical benefits of this tea:
  • Colds and flus
  •  Fevers
  • Indigestion
  • Nightmares
  • Sleep
  • Hyperactivity
  • Cramps
  • Diarrhoea
  • Headaches
  • Period Pain
I am reminded of the purpose and mission of our company as this tea should really be used more often than the "normal" black tea that has become so popular.
Why is it then not popular?! The reason being because of Codex Alimentarius (please google it! ). Sadly the tea is banned in Europe and can only be sold by licensed pharmacists. Why!? Because as I've stated above, it is so therapeutic. The irony of this classification is that this ultra-safe beneficial tea is not really available overseas! Yea for Happy Herbs in Australia!
Also, I recently received this customer feedback on Catnip :
“It also makes one of the best sprays to repel ticks. I've tried it while working in the bush climbing trees. Where I'd usually be covered in them, I had none.”
