Description

This immune boosting tea includes many of our favourite immune tonics in one pot!

Ingredients

1 teaspoon
licorice root
1 teaspoon
ginger root (Fresh is best!)
1 teaspoon
astragalus root
1 teaspoon
cat's claw
1 teaspoon
peppermint
1 teaspoon
lemon myrtle
1 teaspoon
echinacea
1 teaspoon
mullein
1 teaspoon
honey (to taste (per cup))

Instructions

Stage one (decoction) - bring 1 litre of water to a boil, add first 4 herbs (licorice, ginger, astraglus, cat's claw) and turn down to a simmer and cover. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Stage two (infusion) - Add last 4 herbs (Peppermint, Lemon Myrtle, Echinacea & Mullein) to a tea pot, and fill with the hot tea from stage one. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes.

Strain & add honey to taste. Enjoy hot. If you aren't immediately sharing this tea, or are suffering form a cold or flu, you can strain the remaining tea, and put in the fridge to reheat and drink later.
