WHY WE LOVE IT

Make your own herbal throat lozenges

INGREDIENTS

1 tbsp licorice root
0.5 cup slippery elm
2 tablespoon honey

INSTRUCTIONS

Simmer the licorice root in ½ cup of water for 10 mins (make sure it doesn’t boil off all the water!), then strain.
Place 2 tablespoons of honey in a 1/4 measuring cup, and fill up with strained licorice tea. Place slippery elm in a bowl, make dip in middle and pour in honey/licorice tea blend.
Mix all into a thick dough. Sprindle some extra slippery elm on counter top, and roll dough out on it. Cut with small cookie cutter, or into little squares with knife. Leave on plate overnight to dry out. Store in cool dark place.
